Tuscany sits among Meridian's master-planned neighborhoods — three-car garages, HOA-maintained streets, and homes built in the last couple decades rather than the smaller older lots near Old Town. City pickup versus hiring it out

Meridian runs a bulky-item program through its curbside provider — residents get a set number of free pickups each calendar year, and the city allows ten. The catch is what qualifies: items over about 60 pounds are only picked up if they're furniture or appliances, and a handful of things are excluded outright, including hot tubs, pianos, bathtubs, boats, and any construction or demolition debris. Refrigerant appliances also carry a separate charge on the utility bill, and pickups have to be scheduled ahead of time, not set out on a whim.

For a single chair or a couch, the city program is worth using. Where it stops making sense is volume and timing — several rooms' worth of furniture, an estate cleanout, or anything that falls outside what curbside will take.
